Welcome to the McKinney Garden Club

“Everything that slows us down and forces patience, everything that sets us back into the slow circle of nature, is a help. Gardening is an instrument of grace.” – May Sarton

Welcome to the McKinney Garden Club!  We are celebrating our 90th year; helping to beautify the city of McKinney.  McKinney is truly Unique by Nature!  In addition to promoting an interest in gardens and gardening, we are dedicated to educating our community on the design and management of gardens, supporting beautification projects and environmental concerns as well as sponsoring plantings and park benches.  Annually we also provide several scholarships to college-bound students who are majoring in horticulture, landscape design, environmental management, forestry, botany, city planning etc. In 2019, the McKinney Garden Club donated over $22,000 to various non-profit organizations and two scholarships.

The McKinney Garden Club meets the second Tuesdays from September – May at 11:15 a.m. at the Church Street Auditorium (upstairs), 306 N. Church St., McKinney (NE corner of Church and Hunt).  We begin with fellowship followed by a light lunch, a brief business meeting and an informative guest speaker.  We welcome guests and visitors!
