WHAT’S OLD IS NEW
AGAIN
When you live on a
street named, Norman Rockwell Lane you know you’re in for a real treat.
Nestled in the Stonebridge subdivision of McKinney, you will find this
quiet, little Mayberry Neighborhood. As you approach the drive, you can
almost hear June calling Beaver home for dinner. This entire
neighborhood takes you back in time when life was a little slower. And
the home of Nancy and Jim Schwalls plays upon this old fashioned theme.
The large wrap around front porch is loaded with pots of colorful
flowers and other welcoming collectables. Nancy’s gardens are
jam-packed with eclectic antiques and interesting treasures she has
woven into the landscape. A vine covered arbor begs you to “sit a
spell” and enjoy the Koi filled pond while marveling at the picturesque
setting. Once you go in the house, it is a collectors dream. Nancy has
gathered hundreds of treasures from the past, and if you do decide to
“sit a spell” you might be taken back in time as well.
