“Seed money”: Resources to help a project grow

Does your civic organization (or school) or plant-related beautification project need money for materials and supplies?

If so, the McKinney Garden Club (MGC) can help!

See if the following qualifications describe your group:

  • Would you describe your organization org \group as civic, non-profit, or MISD school- based?
  • Is your project based in McKinney or at the MISD properties?
  • Can your project meet the intent of the MGC mission statement?

Founded in 1930, The McKinney Garden Club has continuously been committed to promoting an interest in gardens and gardening.  We are also dedicated to educating adults and children on the design and management of gardens through programs and meetings.  The McKinney Garden Club has historically promoted city and highway beautification, actively supported environmental concerns and sponsored plantings in McKinney through our resources and volunteers. 

If your group meets the above qualifications and could use up to $300 of “Seed Money”, please fill out the  Seed Money Application and submit it to:  McKinney Garden Club, 5100 Eldorado Parkway, Suite 102, # 310, McKinney, TX 75070

Note: When your group has completed your project, MGC requests a short follow-up report with photos. Also please state how the project will be maintained.
