LET’S GO GREEN

Kermit would be at home here!  Beth and Russ Mortenson have designed and created an organic, enviro friendly, self sustaining, registered wildlife habitat right here in the city!  Located just off Hardin Blvd, you will be whisked away with ideas on how to “Save the Planet.”  Beth, a Master Gardener, wanted to Catch the Rain, so they installed rain harvesting system with the runoff spilling into a picturesque pond, which then spills into a charming little rain garden.  And then there’s composting; Beth recycles almost everything, and can teach us how to fertilize our gardens with homemade compost, (she even composts with worms.)  Walking through their gardens is not only educational, but also a lesson in eye pleasing perennials, lush ferns, pathways that wander, and beautiful bursts of color in just the right places.  You can catch the green fever here, and also Catch the Rain ~ just ask Beth.
